International bekannt wurde er durch seine Rolle als James „Sonny“ Crockett in der Fernsehserie Miami Vice (1984–1989). Zuletzt war er in der Serie Watchmen zu sehen. Zu schade, das ein echtes Miami Vice revival nie geglückt ist, denn die Serie ist einer er besten aller Zeiten und kann auch heute noch diverse andere Produktionen in den Schatten stellen. Wir wünschen alles Gute zum heutigen Geburtstag.
